I am a Geek! Yep, but I love the feel of paper in my hands, fine pieces of paper that I can turn the page on, and fold, or write on it, rip it if I need to, or even just run my fingers on.

This morning I went looking online for an awesome diary – something I could carry with me every where, to all my meetings and just have a reminder. I love my phone, of course, I’m a Geek! But I also love my paper.

It used to be that I would only remember things when my phone beeped at me, but now my phone is ALWAYS BEEPING! And it’s easier just to ignore it. So!I worked out a way…

Gratitude Diary 2017

I found the diary of my dreams on Giving Thanks website. I feel like my eyes popped out of my head, and I had to resist going straight out the door to go find it, buy it and use it.  I’m getting itchy just looking at that amazing artwork.

Wait, hold on, Back a bit – we’re talking about technology.

A good way to manage your time is … to manage your time! It is yours, it belongs to you and unless you’ve sold your soul to the devil, you get to choose your own adventure.

I know it’s easy to have things in your mind – the budget, the shopping list, the daily to-do list, etc etc etc, but what happens with that? you buy too much and forget about the dog food, you forget to pickup the kids shoes that you ordered 4 months ago, paying that parking fine that doubled 4 times, yep done that a few times actually, returning that phone call to aunt Edna, gosh I could really go on and on about it.

Step 1 : Accountability – know, and understand that you are responsible for your own reality, forgetting is not an excuse anymore! You don’t like it when you’re forgotten, so no one else will either.

Step 2 : Acknowledge – this doesn’t have to be screaming on the top of your lungs on a high rise building – more so just a self awareness that you do have to take action on a certain task. Documentation is the perfect acknowledgement.

Step 3 : ACTION – Those things that you have written with your Pen (best computer ever), or entered into your Google Calendar, or on your Evernote To Do List need to be actioned, otherwise, you’re wasting time.. right?

Take into consideration – that feeling, when you get to cross something off your list… the feeling when you can tell yourself, I have dealt with that item and I don’t have to think ab out it anymore.

I am interested in hearing how you manage your time well, and if you’re not, how can I help you make your change today.
